Oh That Will Never Work …
Why is that what your prospects say when presented with your business opportunity?
It’s probably because they’ve been conditioned by:
- their parents telling them to get a good job to succeed in life.
- their school teachers telling them to get good grades so that they can get a worthwhile career job.
- their friends telling them that they should just fit in with everyone else.
- the newspaper and television reporters who have full-time jobs.
Oh That Will Never Work …
Tom ‘Big Al’ Schreiter likes to explain why this is the automatic response by using the “ape story”.
Here it is …
Start with a cage containing five apes. In the cage, hang a banana on a string and put stairs under it.
Before long, an ape will go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana. As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all of the apes with cold water.
After a while, another ape makes an attempt with the same result – all the apes are sprayed with cold water.
Turn off the cold water.
Later, if another ape tries to climb the stairs, the other apes will try to prevent it, even though no water sprays them.
Now, remove one ape from the cage and replace it with a new ape.
The new ape sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs. To his horror, all of the other apes attack him.
After another attempt and attack, the ape knows that if he tries to climb the stairs, he will be assaulted.
Next, remove another of the original five apes and replace it with a new ape.
The new ape goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous new ape takes part in the punishment with enthusiasm. Monkey See, Monkey Do!
Again, replace a third original ape with a new one.
The new one makes it to the stairs and is attacked as well.
Two of the four apes that beat him have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs, or why they are participating in the beating of the newest ape.
After replacing the fourth and fifth original apes, all the original apes that were sprayed with cold water have been replaced.
Nevertheless, no ape ever again approaches the stairs.
Why not?
“Because that’s the way it’s always been around here.”
Oh That Will Never Work …
The main reason why things do not always work out for people …
is simply that people do not work!
So many people are looking for ready-made solutions …
the ‘magic button’ system!
something where they can earn lots and lots of money without having to do any work …
well I’m sorry but that will never work LOL
ALL systems, programs, processes, business opportunities …
require you to do some WORK.
Everything works if you work …
it’s just a case of finding something you enjoy working.
It really is as simple as that …
because when you love what you do, you’ll never work another day in your life
And remember …
what you think about – you bring about
so if you think …
that will never work
then guess what …
it probably won’t.
