==============

The main reason people do not achieve their goals and dreams and is because they …

do not belief they can …

they lack the confidence.

But if you knew you could not fail …

if you were guaranteed the outcome that you so desire …

what would you be prepared to do?

The Power of SELF Confidence
=======================

I saw this great story in an email from Knowledge Is King

There was a business executive who was deep in debt and could see no way out.

Creditors were closing in on him. Suppliers were demanding payment. He sat on the park bench, head in hands, wondering if anything could save his company from bankruptcy.

Suddenly an old man appeared before him. “I can see that something is troubling you,” he said.

After listening to the executive’s woes, the old man said, “I believe I can help you.”

He asked the man his name, wrote out a check, and pushed it into his hand saying, “Take this money. Meet me here exactly one year from today, and you can pay me back at that time.”

Then he turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come.

The business executive saw in his hand a check for $500,000, signed by John D. Rockefeller, then one of the richest men in the world!

“I can erase my money worries in an instant!” he realized. But instead, the executive decided to put the uncashed check in his safe. Just knowing it was there might give him the strength to work out a way to save his business, he thought.

With renewed optimism, he negotiated better deals and extended terms of payment. He closed several big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and making money once again.

Exactly one year later, he returned to the park with the uncashed check. At the agreed-upon time, the old man appeared. But just as the executive was about to hand back the check and share his success story, a nurse came running up and grabbed the old man.

“I’m so glad I caught him!” she cried. “I hope he hasn’t been bothering you. He’s always escaping from the rest home and telling people he’s John D. Rockefeller.”

And she led the old man away by the arm.

The astonished executive just stood there, stunned. All year long he’d been wheeling and dealing, buying and selling, convinced he had half a million dollars behind him.

Suddenly, he realized that it wasn’t the money, real or imagined, that had turned his life around. It was his newfound self-confidence that gave him the power to achieve anything he went after.

Build Your SELF Confidence
=====================

Professor Raj Persaud believes that true Self Confidence comes from an attitude where you …

“ Promise yourself, no matter how difficult the problem life throws at you, that you will try as hard as you can to help yourself. You acknowledge that sometimes your efforts to help yourself may not result in success, as often being properly rewarded is not in your control.”

Your level of self-confidence can show up in many ways …

your behaviour, your body language, how you speak, what you say, and so on.

Which of the following thoughts or actions do you recognize in yourself and people around you?

Low self confidence can be self-destructive, and it often manifests itself as negativity.

Self confident people are generally more positive; they believe in themselves and their abilities, and they also believe in living life to the full.

===============================================
Here are 10 quick pointers to help build your SELF confidence
===============================================

1. Smile – It takes less muscles to smile than it does to frown!

2. Make Eye Contact – the truth of what you are saying can be questioned if you are avoiding eye contact.

3. Silence your Inner ‘negative’ Voice – SHUT IT UP!

4. Stay loyal to your Personal Values – don’t so things unless they sit comfortably with your morals and beliefs.

5. Take Pride in your Appearance – you want to create a good impression but you must dress how you feel comfortable, otherwise you will be self conscious.

6. Look for the Positive in Every Siutation – things happen for a reason.

7. Keep Moving Forward – you can achieve anything you want if you are prepared to learn and take action, but avoid the sense of failure by taking one step at a time, slowly slowly catchy monkey LOL

8. Speak Slowly – If you gabble you will feel that you have now expressed yourself well and may not have been understood.

9. Have Your Say – Everyone is entitled to an opinion so make sure your voice is heard

10. Accept Compliments – Don’t roll your eyes and say, “Yeah, right,” or shrug it off. Take it to heart and respond positively with “Thank you” and a smile.

And remember …

What You Believe You CAN Achieve.
