I saw this report by The Daily Mail back in March 2013 ….

£180,000 Aston Martin DBS severely damaged by £500 pink Vauxhall Corsa after driver loses control and careers into petrol station

  • The sports car, a favourite of James Bond, was filling up at Swindon garage
  • Pink Vauxhall lost control on roundabout and flew onto forecourt
  • DBS shunted into petrol pump as its owner filled it up, but no-one hurt

And I remember when I saw this headline my heart jumped in to my mouth as if the Aston Martin DBS was my own car …

In just a split second I felt for the owner of the Aston Martin … it made me stop and think how gutted I would feel if that was my car.

Aston Martin

Whilst the owner of the 190mph Aston Martin DBS – a favourite of James Bond – stood fuelling his car, a pink Vauxhall Corsa lost control going round the roundabout and careered on to the garage forecourt, shunting the Aston Martin in to the petrol pump.

So you may be thinking well it didn’t catch fire so it could have been worse, which clearly it could have …

But for the owner of the Aston Martin his car is beyond repair, he said ‘it will be a write-off, they won’t fix that.’

I have always found the Aston Martin sports car to be a sexy vehicle and have seen it featured in several James Bond films, with the DBS appearing as 007′s car in both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

When the Aston Martin DBS went on sale in 2007, prices started from £180,000, but the model was discontinued in 2012.

Powered by a 6-litre V12 engine, the 510bhp DBS is capable of 0-62mph in just 4.3 seconds, and boasts a top speed of 190mph.

In real life, James Bond actor Daniel Craig, who drove the DBS in Casino Royale, is a fan too.  When Daniel turned 45 in 2013 he was seen taking delivery of a bright red £150,000 Vantage Roadster, leaving neighbours wondering if the convertible Aston Martin was a present to himself … unfortunately I wasn’t so lucky on my 45th birthday, but maybe someone will buy me an Aston Martin DB9 for my 50th birthday LOL

Well a girl can dream can’t she 🙂

Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson once described the Aston Martin DBS as a model which is ‘as close to perfect as a car can be’.

A perfect car for a perfect girl … hehehe

So what is it that motivates you?

What is it that makes you get out of bed every day?

What is it that you see yourself enjoying in the future?

What is it that will tug at your heart strings?

Many people think that cars such as the Aston Martin, along with large houses, first class travel to 5* holidays, are a luxury that only the wealthy can afford …

But they needn’t be …

Working a job will make you a living and yes your lifestyle will reflect that.

Working for yourself can make you a fortune, as it’s an opportunity to earn what you are worth.

Anyone can enjoy the finer things in life …

I spend my day doing things that other will not

so tomorrow I can spend my day how others can not
